Bailey when he was three days old, in his incubator having phototherepy.  Bailey was born on Febuary 11 1998 at 25 weeks gestation weighing in at a massive 676gms !!!
At the time this was taken he was on C.P.A.P.
you can tell how small he is with my hand beside him.
He made it thru the prem ordeal with only Chronic Lung disease that still gives him trouble and also developmental delay.....not bad for such an early start in life!!.

After the crash we tried hard to find the Paeds doctor who was on the scene of the accident shortly after it happend.  A New Zealand national magazine helped me in the search for her and her husband.  Shortly after this I managed to find the wonderfull Gabrielle and her Husband John to thank them, unfortunitly they were no longer in new zealand and had moved to Canada to work.  One day it would be nice to meet them in person to say thank you from us all.

Thank you for visting!

Welcome to the all new "our World"

I finally sorted myself out and pulled finger and have redone this webpage after all this time!!
I hope all guests and vistors to my site will enjoy the new layout and the way i now have done the page.. hopefully not as long and drawn out as it has been in the past!.

The story of this site began back on Thursday November 26 1998, a day that for myself, freinds, family and many other people from my past would find that life would alter for the not always the best, a new set of rules to live by... a new begining in many ways.  i started this site out of intrest form many new freinds that i made on the internet that were interested in what had made me the person that i am today.. the person who has strength from something horrific, the ability to be determined and perservere thru many obsticals that i encountered on my journey thru a new world called life... the new me.
it all started like this....
on the morning of november 26 1998 i was in my little red car travelling just out of my home town of rotorua in new zealand, i had my cousin eva, my young daughter sarah-louise and my wee premature son bailey in the car.  our lives were to change for ever in one split second.  were involved in a head on car crash, a car coming towards crossed the centre line and took us out.
lifes changed, life is in turmoil, life is nearly taken from us in an instant.
my cousin received whiplash and shock, sarah also received shock and a few sratches, bailey had to be resussed on the scene many times as he stopped breathing, i fractured my c7 and received head injuries.  good bye old life... hello hell.
baileys life had started back in feb 1998 he was born at 25 weeks gestation and weighed 676gm he was a fighter from day one and he continued to not let anyone take his life away from him that day.
at the time of the crash i had been married but with stress, pain, indifferences the marrige broke up in december 1999.  since then life has been a struggle, but i have gotten there with the love, support and help of close family and freinds at home and on the internet.
eventually i found love again after the darkness that i was in, my partner and i met in a chatroom of all places on the internet, we met eventually and since then have been inseperable from each other.
we have been together nearly two years now, we have gotten engaged and in july 2003 we will welcome a much wanted and planned baby to seal our love and commitment to each other!
this year i have outdone myself and have completed a animal care and vet assistance course thru a local polytechnic which it only a few papers away from being a qualified veterinary nurse!! it has been and excrutiating year with frustration And pain at times but i have overcome all obsticals to recieve today my certificate at our gradation!!  i have done it and made it thru the dark shadows and proved to myself and the world i can do... that a disability does not need to hold us all back and that when we really want something that bad that it is possible to overcome many barriers to acheive that dream......... watch out world im here... im back and god help anyone in my way!!!!
thanks to all my close freinds and family and children to helping me get there and encouraging me to keep going even when i swore to throw it all in... thank you for making me sense at last!
love mands xoxoxo

September 2003
Welcome to the world Aimee rose 17 june 2003 4lb 13oz 35 weeks gestation.
Our wee girl is here after a bumpy and scarey ride, we are so blessed to have our little angel with us and bringing us many happy memories and making our family complete.
sarah-louise and bailey adore their new baby sister and cant wait to set their eyes on her each morning and cuddle and watch over their new sibling they just absolutly love her to bits.  Aimee loves being around them and smiles and talks to them every chance she gets.  life is up and down for us with some new hurdles to overcome in the very near future.  These will be overcome and will make us stronger and more determined not to allow others to rule our lives, those close to us will know what we are talking about without saying much more.
